Children’s Orphanage in Eldoret Kenya - November 2019
Hidden Treasure Children's Home - Tour
News on the Children’s Orphanage in Eldoret Kenya - October 2018
In April 2018 we shared the exciting news, that following a trip made to the Rift Valley Kenya in 2014, God has now amazingly opened the door for us to build an orphanage for some of the children we found as a result of the vision He gave me revealing their plight. In the vision I saw many children, cold, dirty and hungry on a rubbish dump. I saw them searching in the rubbish alongside pigs, looking for anything they could find to sell so they could buy food and water, as I watched I felt the Lord saying, “Would you stand on this rubbish dump and tell these children about My Son Jesus. I have Hidden Treasure in such places”

Some days later after prayer, I saw a map of the Rift Valley area of Kenya. In November 2014, I flew to Kenya and was met by Pastor Peter Simwa of the Higher Vision Centre who lived in the Rift Valley area. Over the next couple of weeks we worked together searching for the children, ministering to many we found, opening connections for Peter and his wife Caroline to continue the work of taking the gospel to these precious orphan children.
On the first dump site we discovered, we found a number of cold and hungry children, 36 of them received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour that day, we saw God move powerfully in healing, ministering in heavy rain we saw one young man set free from a drug addiction, he is still clean today. Yet this was not the dump site I had seen in the vision. The sites were difficult to gain entry to, but God opened the doors we could not, and on the second site, we found the children I had seen in the vision, it was the exact scene I had been shown, and I knew we were now in the right place, it was an amazing moment. In all, 104 precious children received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour during that trip, and signs followed. It was amazing to witness as these hungry children crowded around to be fed, they received so much more than bread that day.

Below are two of the children we found, Dorcus and Charity, first on the dump site, and later with Caroline Simwa outside their new home in their new school uniforms, a life changing experience for them.

Pastor Peter Simwa says that this trip has changed the shape of their church ministry, his wife Caroline had always dreamed of looking after many homeless children, to run an Orphanage, but they could not see how this could happen. Now through Gods mercy that door has been opened, and with some amazing support we have been given, we are able to build an Orphanage for 50 children.
In March 2018 after praying over the ground, the work began on digging the foundations.

March 26th to 27th 2018 digging the foundations and laying the concrete slab.
When I considering that we had no thoughts of constructing anything in December, it is amazing to witness this new Orphanage now being built. When God gives a vision He also sends provision, when He opens a door He moves, and when Gods people move with Him the impossible becomes possible. We thank God for all He has done in making this happen, We are so grateful for the support we have been given, which has enabled us to build this amazing new Orphanage, I thank all of you so much who have so faithfully supported Mission Living Waters over the years in all the work we are called to, preaching the gospel, healing the sick and helping the poor, what an amazing privilege it all is.

There is a lot of work still to be done, and with your help it will happen. Many children that were once without hope and living on the streets, will be given a brand new start in life. We give thanks to God for His Love and provision in it all.
We need your help
When the main construction has been completed we will then need to fit the building out, we need 50 of everything, beds, sheets, blankets, mosquito nets, fit out of the staff quarters, the kitchen, tables, chairs, and everything that will be needed in such a building This fit out is estimated at £2,500.00 in total
The daily running costs excluding paying the two full time staff works out at £1.50 per child per day.
This doesn’t sound very much, but with 50 children and 365 days in a year it adds up. We would also like to be able to honour and bless the two staff who will give up a lot to undertake this work. Peter and Caroline will oversee the daily running and direction of the Orphanage, but they will have two trusted people living on site to ensure the children are properly cared for each day.
The children will start each day with prayer and a short Bible study, hearing the word of God daily will help them as they grow, to know and trust Jesus as their Saviour, that goal is foundational to what we are called to. Working with Peter and Caroline at the Higher Vision Centre Church, we are confident we will see this happen.
