Takaye Church Build 2010/2011

Picture
Inside the mud Church of Takaye as it was in 2009/10
In the summer of 2010 we moved for the first time to a place called Takaye, this is about 6 or 7 kilometers away from Milano where we had been working during the last two years. The pastor in Takaye is a lady called Rachel Mwangala who i had met on a previous trip. In the summer of 2010 a prophetic word came through prayer.

Call the children, GO. call in the children, the youth, gather them to Me, and as you call in the children, then I the Lord will build this church
Luke 18:15.16.

I was reminded Psalm 127. And it seemed to give direction.

When I shared this word with pastor Rachel she was excited and wanted to arrange a conference for the youth, this was done… Many young people came, this is a short extract from her report afterwards. (Pastor Rachel)

The Sunday service was even more awesome, as all of a sudden I was moved by the holy Spirit to prophesy, for the sick to receive their healing, for the addicted to be freed, for the doubtful to have faith in Jesus, for the weak to be strengthened, there was a special anointing for me, as I felt the heaviness of it, I called all of them to come forward, I called 2 ministers and servants of Jesus to assist me because the anointing was so strong. When the Spirit of God begins to move in a place, things begin to shake and you will not be the same again, you have no control over your physical body, many people received their healing and many were freed. What Jesus Christ did at the Cross was more than wonderful, let us praise Him and glorify Him, he deserves it.

When I began to speak a word of healing upon the sick, they began to shake and fell down, the addicted ones began to cry, shout and fall down, the ushers were so busy and the church was filled with the glory cloud. Thank you Jesus Christ, for the completed work you did for over two thousand years at Calvary. I believe in heaven was a big party, because of those who received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

These events encouraged me greatly to support the pastor in Takaye, by the follwing March 2011 with the amazing support of so many donations we were able to open the new church building in TAKAYE...

The opening of the
new Takaye Church
building March 2011

Going back in 2011 after all the hard work of the building throughout 2010 was a time of great celebration. What an achievement in less than a year since the vision came to build here. The projects aim is not buildings, its all about people, but church buildings like this are a much needed tool to work effectivley in the community, they are used for more than Church services on Sundays.

Since the opening of the church in 2011 the congregation has grown from around 70 people to 150 people now in 2012, Takaye have also started a nursery school, we currently have 1 teacher and approx 12 young children, these are being taught basic entry level subjects as well as hearing about Jesus their saviour.
