Mission Living Waters We are a Christian Evangelistic mission, our primary focus is the salvation of souls through the preaching of the gospel, the gospel is the expressed Love of God freely offered to us all through placing our faith in His Son Jesus Christ, but this Love looks like something, its practical James 2;14-16
Hand in hand with our primary focus we have run a number of practical projects to help local communities. These projects have dealt with needs providing new Church buildings, opening access to Education for many young people, helping to feed the poor, piping water into one village. Now in 2015 we are reaching orphan street children who were without hope, many are living literally on the streets or on rubbish dumps, we have seen many saved and healed through the power of the gospel and we are working to help change their situations through some of the above initiatives. In summary from 2008 to 2011 we had been active in building in different areas as well as evangelism, since 2012 our core focus has been Evangelism, the salvation of souls. Showing the Love of Christ through His Church body.
Since 2008 we have built two community Church's and a House of Prayer called VHOP. As well as being places of worship these buildings have served the various communities in many ways, some doubling up for nursery schools, and community meeting hall's. From these bases we have reached the communities in different ways, feeding widows and orphans, holding Christmas parties helping the poor, opening the doors as a place of prayer where we have seen many hundreds of people healed as they come with their various needs. Education In 2013/14 we started an education support project and we are working with a number of bright young students to help ensure they have the best chance of reaching university. The goal is to equip these talented young people to become tomorrows Doctors, Lawyers, teachers, and other professionals so they can sow back into their own communities and give others a chance. Street Children. In 2014/15 we began to work with young homeless people. We are helping to support children, many as young as 8 years who are living on the streets in the slums and on the rubbish dumps, most are there through no fault of their own, those we have found have been cold and hungry, dressed in rags, and in needed help for food, shelter and a place to feel safe and loved and a chance to go to school. Many drink water from the local river because they have nothing else. We have managed to help some, but we need your help and support to do more. You can see more under the street children tag. |
Salvation
The Bibles says In Romans 10:9-10 NKJV [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This is the gospel, salvation is for all who believe and confess that Jesus is the Lord. Healing Jesus was raised from the dead and is alive, He heals the sick today, this is something we see on a regular basis as we pray. Luke 9:1-2 NKJV [1] Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. [2] He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. This is our experience and our conviction today, As we "GO" and as we do this we see signs of Gods Power follow to His glory. In the last few years, we have literally seen the lame walk, the mute speak, the blind see, the deaf hear, asthmatics healed and breathing well, people arthritis healed several times, alcoholics made completely clean and free from the addiction, gangrene healed and the amputation of a leg avoided, painful ankles, elbows, knees and other joints totally healed. The list goes on and on that I could literally write a book on the amazing things we have seen God do. In 2013 well over one thousand precious souls said YES to Jesus and accept Him as their personal Lord and saviour. We give glory to God for these amazing events. |
