The Milano Primary School
The assistant Pastor to the Milano Church, pastor Rico started this School in 2008, he has acheived so much for the local kids with no outside support or funding, it has been a huge effort that has taken determination and focus on his part, this was the school as I saw it in 2009, it was as basic as it could be, but it did function as a primary School in fine weather and children have learned new skills.
Primary School, Milano 2012
This year on returning to Milano in Malindi the school has grown well, Rico now has 150 students in all and 7 teaches, the school operates by students paying fees, about one third of the fees are colloected on average, the rest cannot afford to pay on any regular basis, so expansion is a big challenge for him, the pastor has started to put up block built classrooms on the site, but has a long way to go, the rooms currently have no roofs, doors, windows etc. they will also need desks, books, and basic equippment.
Mission Living Waters would like to support the amazing effort of this pastor and this work needs funding, a lot can be acheived for a small amount in places like Malindi Kenya, please support us by sending your donation to assist the children in having a good school. you can see some indication of building costs on the tag called ( How we spend your money) Thank you.
